This album reflects the fact that jazz is still going strong almost a century after the famous "Roaring 20's." Jazz has always had a pushing the envelope kind of sound to it, and this is why the future of jazz is certain to exist.
My second album review is a late discovery of the 2016 Blue Note Grammy Award winning record, Take Me To The Alley by Gregory Porter. The Brooklyn, NYC resident delivers a remarkable album full of ballads and jazz tunes full of love and tribulations. Porter's voice is like a hot heater warming your body on a frigid winter's evening.
One of the most overlooked albums of 2017 would have to be the album Antiphon, by the U.K. jazz artist, Alfa Mist.This music is so perfect to curl up and listen to on a rainy day or whenever you feeling like chilling out. If you need to relax or get to a meditative state, then this music is made for you.
